Educational Empowerment Programmes

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Some of the children after the completion of their secondary education often opt for specific vocation of their choice. After the training they are empowered and reintegrated back into the society.

PROVISION OF SHELTER CARE

Accomodation: Our shelther at Kings Kids Children's village has capacity to accomodate 120 People mainly children. Currenlty 86 people are in this shelter facility. Our shelther at Zion House, Agbowo currently has four adults . This facility has capacity for 20 adults.

STREET SCHOOL

This is an outreach program that provides non-formal education cum counseling services to street children and vulnerable persons in different communities. Currently, 4 of such centers are located within the city of Ibadan (Bodija, Agbaje/Ayeye/Oja-Oba, Iwo-Road and Mokola/ Samanbola).

FAMILY REINTEGRATION

In many instances, after the completion of their rehabilitation, many of our clients are reintegrated with their family. In some of the instances, the clients chooses the particular member of the family they want to stay with. We also ensure that percussions are taken to prevent relapses.

SENSITIZATION/AWARENESS PROGRAMMES IN COMMUNITIES

Periodically, Galilee Foundation carries out public enlightenment activities in communities like schools, market places and residential communities with a view towards the prevention of child abuses, forced labor, human trafficking and other social ills. In some cases, we use the media as the platform for some of our campaign and public awareness programs. Others include; Market Rallies, Community campaigns, School drives and seminars, Street carnivals/parties

MEDIA

- Media Engagement with Relevant news media houses. - Utilization of different media platforms. e.g Social media for public awareness of activities of Galilee Foundation and different orientation for general reforms, propaganda and policies.
